Chevre Marinated in Olive Oil & Fresh Herbs
To create the special jars of Marinated Chevre they put two-week old Chevre Log medallions in extra virgin olive oil infused with a special blend of herbs and spices. Olive oil is the traditional and natural way to preserve cheese. By covering the cheese and protecting it from the air, the oil almost stops the ripening process giving this cheese a very long shelf life. It is delicious as a gourmet spread or spooned over hot pasta to make an instant Alfredo.
Fromage in 6 oz tubs
This is the freshest cheese with the highest moisture and lowest fat and cholesterol content. Packaged in deli-cups when only two days old, we keep it frozen to increase the shelf-life. This cheese won a FIRST PLACE at the 1999 American Cheese Society National Competition! We're carrying three flavors: Dill & Chive, Fig & Honey, Roasted Red Pepper

Ellington - A creamy, aged goat cheese with a bloomy rind and smoky ash that evokes a delicious hint of truffle and damp forest floor. Produced by Jennifer and Andy Perkins on their small farm in the North Carolina mountains.
